  • 1 – Amendment Passed – Restriction on the Investment of Association Funds – The Board Recommended a Vote of “Yes” for the Amendment

    • “For” Votes were 152.  “Against” votes were 9.   131 “For” votes needed for passage.

  • 2 – Amendment Passed – Allowance to Allow Election by Acclamation of Candidates for Board of Directors when the number of candidates are less than or equal to the number of openings – The Board Recommended a Vote of “Yes” for the Amendment

    • “For” Votes were 146.  “Against” votes were 15.  131 “For” votes needed for passage

• Possible 2025 TAX SAVINGS – If you missed the January 2026 BODcast, please access it under the BODcasts located under the Resources menu item.  It contains information concerning the currently available nonrefundable Tax Credit for Excess Insurance Premiums.You can also directly access the letter from our Insurance Broker showing our 2025 insurance premiums under: “Resources”>”ECA Documents and Forms”>”Insurance”>”2025 Insurance Premiums Paid for use with SC Tax Form TC44 – Consult your Tax Advisor for Applicability.  For a per unit basis, these totals should be divided by the 260 units at Edgewater.You should check with your Tax Advisor concerning whether you qualify for up to a $1,250 credit (SC Tax Form TC44) on your SC Tax Return. Your Tax Advisor should be consulted to determine applicability on an individual basis and which amounts should be included in the calculation.  Information for 2023 can be found in the February 2024 BODcast. Information for 2024 can be found in the January 2025 BODcast.

Other ECA Updates

• The Edgewater Pool is open from Sunrise to Sunset, the surronding Pool Deck is open 7 AM to 11 PM, and the Fitness Center is open 24/7.  During operating hours, you and your guest can visit the pool and fitness center AT YOUR OWN RISK.

• Edgewater is RECYCLING!   Bins are found adjacent to the compactors for your convenience.  Please do not put regular trash in these bins. No plastic bags (Do Not use plastic bags to hold your recyclables)!  No glass bottles!
