At the Special Meeting of Members on May 4, 2024 at 10 am in the Clubhouse, it was announced by Roger Life, Secretary of the Edgewater Board of Directors, that the Master Deed Amendments proposal to Section 5.1 (a) has passed.

The vote tally  certified by Attorney Robert Lee’s Office was:

“Yes” Votes = 222
“No” Votes = 5

The Master Deed requires a minimum of 67% of owners (175) to approve changes to the Master Deed, along with requirements noted in Section 18.2 – 18.4 for “Eligible Mortgagees”.  Such requirements have been met and therefore the Amendment Passes.

The Edgewater Board of Directors extends its thanks to all owners who returned their Voting Form and thereby actively participated in this important vote.  The Association had an Owner participation rate of 87.3% (227/260).   This is the highest participation rate in recent history and perhaps ever.

  • Possible TAX SAVINGS – If you missed the February BODcast, please access it under the BODcasts located under the Resources menu item.  It contains information concerning the currently available nonrefundable Tax Credit for Excess Insurance Premiums. You should check with your Tax Advisor concerning whether you qualify for up to a $1,250 credit (SC Tax Form TC44) on your SC Tax Return. Your Tax Advisor should be consulted to determine applicability on an individual basis and which amounts should be included in the calculation.  Learn more in the February BODcast.

  • The Edgewater Pool is open from Sunrise to Sunset and the Fitness Center is open 24/7.  During operating hours, you and your guest can visit the pool and fitness center AT YOUR OWN RISK.

  • Edgewater is RECYCLING!   Bins are found adjacent to the compactors for your convenience.  Please do not put regular trash in these bins. No plastic bags!  No glass bottles.
